Haskins and Associates APC offers an in person analysis of your real estate and unsecured debt situation, including credit cards, medical debts, and other unsecured debts, as well as a property valuation based on current comparable sales in your neighborhood. You will meet with an attorney who will personally go over all of your income and expenses, debts, and current valuation analysis. We will let you know what your specific liabilities are for real estate and other debts and advise you on the best course of action to take to resolve both your secured and unsecured debt problems. We will go over each of the options, including the costs, consequences and time to completion. The options normally include bankruptcy, Chapter 7 or Chapter 13, short sale, loan modification, deed in lieu of foreclosure, short refinance, and allowing foreclosure to go through in very rare circumstances so that you avoid personal liability. Should you decide to proceed with a bankruptcy the full $325 fee will apply to the cost of the bankruptcy case.
BANKRUPTCY - CHAPTER 7 AND CHAPTER 13
Generally speaking, Chapter 7 bankruptcy filings cost between $1900 and $2500 depending on the kind and amount of debt, how many debtors, how many co-debtors, the number of properties involved, the location of the properties, and other factors. At our initial meeting we will let you know exactly what the cost will be so that you can make an informed decision. Chapter 13 bankruptcy filings normally cost between $2800 and $3300, as they are more complicated and require substantially more legal and financial administration.
